Fees Structure, Refunds & Cancellations

Platform Commission Rates

The platform commission is applied at the time of payment to ensure secure processing and platform sustainability. Freelancer funds are held in escrow and released upon project completion.

  • ✔ 10% for projects from R0 – R1,200
  • ✔ 12% for projects from R1,201 – R2,000
  • ✔ 15% for projects from R2,001 – R3,500
  • ✔ 20% for projects above R3,501

These tiers ensure that freelancers maintain sustainable earnings while the platform remains secure, supported, and constantly evolving with premium features.

Subscription Options

In-2-Gigs™ offers flexible subscription plans for freelancers and project creators:

  • ✔ Free Plan – Basic access
  • ✔ Standard Plan – Enhanced visibility (pricing to be announced)
  • ✔ Premium Plan – Maximum exposure & advanced tools (pricing to be announced)

Payment & Transaction Charges

All payments are processed through Stitch, PayPal, and Paystack, each applying their own gateway fees. These fees are separate from platform commission.

  • ✔ Charges depend on card type, region, and currency
  • ✔ Users can view exact fees before confirming payments

In-2-Gigs processes internal transactions in real-time after successful payment confirmation. External payment providers (Stitch, PayPal, Paystack) may apply their own processing times and fees which are outside of platform control.

Cancellations

✔ Project creators may cancel open projects at any time before a freelancer accepts the task.
✔ Freelancers may decline projects before work begins without penalties.
✔ Once work has started, cancellation terms depend on project progress and agreed-upon milestones.

Refunds

✔ Refunds are assessed based on project stage, submitted work, and proof of communication.
✔ Payment gateway fees (Stitch, PayPal, Paystack) are non-refundable.
✔ Approved refunds take approximately 3–7 business days to reflect.
✔ Disputes must be submitted to support@in-2-gigs.co.za.
